Leadership Team: JANUS + Breakwater Expeditions
Virginia Jreisat, Founder, JANUS Code, Virginia knows that the biggest growth often happens just outside our comfort zones. She has a gift for helping young adults step into new experiences with confidence, curiosity, and a sense of possibility.
On this trip, she’ll be the steady mix of encouragement and challenge — asking the questions that spark self-discovery, while creating a safe space to try, stumble, and succeed. Whether it’s navigating a trail, building new routines, or rethinking what’s possible, Virginia brings both heart and humor to the journey.
She loves exploring the world and believes adventures like this are the perfect backdrop for uncovering who you are and who you’re becoming.
Angie is a co-owner and Lead Guide for Breakwater.
Angie Schmeltzer, has spent years guiding groups into wild and beautiful places, where adventure and connection go hand in hand. She’s passionate about creating experiences that bring people together, build confidence, and remind us of what we’re capable of.
On this trip, Angie weaves fun, adventure, and reflection into every day — whether that’s on a paddleboard, hiking through the jungle, or gathered in conversation at the end of it all. She has a gift for seeing the strengths in others and helping them shine, making each young adult feel welcomed, supported, and part of the team.
For Angie, Costa Rica is more than a destination — it’s the perfect setting to step away from routine, find your footing, and discover a deeper sense of independence. She also loves looking for monkeys and sloths!
