Canoeing in The Yukon River Whitehorse, YT, Canada

The Yukon River twists and turns for 1,980 miles through a vast and beautiful natural landscape, all the way from the headwaters in Canada to the Bering Strait of Alaska. Starting in Whitehorse, we will jump right into the river and head to Lake Laberge for our first truly stunning set of scenery. From here, the Yukon Plateau region begins and you will admire the endless wilderness surrounding you.

Our heads will be on a swivel as we watch the ridges of the cliffs along the river to spot moose which are numerous in the forested foothills, bald eagles that nest along the river banks, beavers getting their winter supplies in, and always having the possibility of seeing grizzly bears strolling along the shoreline. The 200-mile section of river that we paddle is truly a once in a lifetime experience that few get the chance to have.
